Mission Essays 1998

Over the years, any number of Lutheran missionaries to the Enga in Papua New Guinea (PNG) have written and published about their experiences, and at the 1998 50th Anniversary celebration of the beginning of the Lutheran mission in Enga in 1948 two special books of memories were created and duplicated, one under the title page at left. The assorted essays from that book are copied and linked on this page below. Articles written by former missionaries for the second book, called Garden of Memories are linked to the next website page. The banner photo above of the Trinity adorns the altar of the Gutnius Lutheran Church of PNG Lutheran Church at Monokam, built by Jacob Luke west of Wabag. (Click any of the links below to access the person’s story of experiences in PNG.)
